Security

We contend with a great deal of uncertainty in our daily lives. No one can tell exactly what the future holds and most often than not, no matter how much and how hard we prepare for them, we often find ourselves tripping over events and occurrences for the simple reason that we find ourselves unprepared for them.

Security issues, for one. No matter how many steps we take to ensure that we will be safe, life just happens and leaves us unprotected. Muggers wait it out at dark, shadowy corners. Highway accidents are never far behind especially since the count of drunk drivers continue to rise up. The polar caps go on to melt. Indeed, the world does not seem to be the safest place to inhabit at the moment. But it is, after all, all we’ve got.

Swedish car maker, Volvo, addresses such concerns by adding on a communicator into their S80 car model. As a S80 part, the communicator makes a number of functions available to the user. With this communicator in hand, an individual may be able to determine whether his or her car is locked. If it happens to be locked tight, then that’s a welcome bit of good news. Problems arise only when said individual or owner of the car happens along and finds it unlocked. There are times when such things can be taken as mere forgetfulness on the owner’s part to make sure that the doors were all locked before he or she strolled away.

But in this day and age, where the crime element of society only seems to get craftier each and every time, it pays to take a step back or two to run through all the possible reasons why the door is unlocked.

Before one gives in to a full-blown panic attack though, one must first check whether the alarm is still on or if it was turned off. Such steps help prevent one from bolting upon the discovery of an unlocked car door. It is always prudent to check each and every little detail before one settles on any conclusions.

Still, if the car is both unlocked and have been disabled of its alarm, closer attention must be given. Mere forgetfulness may all be very well and good but what if a thief or much worse a psychopath is waiting it out in the dark confines of the car? Of course, one can hardly come closer without risking a dangerous confrontation with a possible asssailant. Not only does it not constitute a sensible move, it also gives the possible assailant the chance to do distress or much worse, physical harm.

In this regard, the communicator, as one of the car’s many Volvo auto parts, comes in quite handy. The communicator, after all, allows for the individual to see whether there is a person inside or not. The device accomplishes this with the highly sensitive heartbeat sensor that the communicator works with in the car. Lights can alsobe turned on or off with the communicator.

Thus, considering all it can do, the communicator certainly ranks as one of the most safety-helpful feautures to come along in the ranks of Volvo auto parts in quite some time. Those with an S80 can sure count themselves fortunate in this regard.
