Traffic troubles are common enough. One can hardly expect everything to go smoothly each and every day in streets and highways. With as many as multitudes braving the roads on a daily basis, accidents and the occasional woebegone encounters occur. Worries over such instances though can be dramatically reduced when one finds oneself driving a Volvo S80 around.

One of the many features that makes the S80 a commedable ride is its size. It’s one of the largest sedans around, meriting the distinction of being the most sizable among all those contained in the Volvo sedan line-up.

The attention, though, is duly justified, especially considering a number of modifications done to the unit. The S80 sees an improvement in its new in-line six cylinder engine this year—in particular reference to the 311 horsepower of its V-8 engine model—as it is partnered with the talents of an all wheel drive.

Though dapper in looks, the Volvo S80, with its Volvo S80 parts continues to be the Swedish car maker’s top security-conscious automotive model. With a number of safety machinations in place, any and all wishing to get their hands on the wheel of the S80 and its sturdy S80 parts can reasonably assure themselves that they have all the bases covered when they climb onto the driver’s seat of this one. Among the S80 parts is an optional camera system that provides the driver with visual access into uncomfortable blind spots so drivers can get an expansive view of traffic if on the road. Basic Swedish car features are included as well, including one of the most efficient trunk features for cars available in the market today.

Packing a 3.2 liter six-cylinder, the S80 is introduced at an entry level price of $39,400 while the V-8 starts at a $48,045—the amount of course does not yet include add-on expenses for the equipment pieces that include an electric parking brake, dual exhaust, watch dial tooling along with interior air-determinant sensor. In addition, the car is also loaded with rain-sensitive wipers, seat-heaters as well as front and rear park assistance, though these will set you back a few bucks extra.

Still, in Volvo’s continuing commitment to the field, the Swedish car company is set to launch an S80 T6 platform and insiders suppose that the said model will come with a turbocharged 285 horsepower, 3.0 liter as well as with an in-line six-cylinder with—incredibly enough—an all wheel drive. The model’s engine has been designed to operate at the most economical level of fuel consumption as possible. This in turn, is responsible for the dramatic decrease in the car’s exhaustion emissions.

Of course, however admirable the V-8 is, the six cylinder model retains its own set of admirers, particularly those who are satisfied with having their notions of driving ease and indulgence realized.

All in all, considering the many talents of the S80, whichever model a consumer may turn his or her eyes on, is certain to enjoy performance excellence within the confines of a reliably secure car.
