As of the moment, the latest safety innovation of the Swedish car maker of Volvo and Volvo auto parts, Volvo has launched the first V8 that caters to the regulations of the U.S. Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Standards.

For over the course of numerous years, Volvo cars have done a lot in establishing brand stability as well as perception in the public, beginning with the first four cylinder car in 1927. With the Volvo PV444, Volvo and Volvo auto parts sources, gained a foothold in U.S. markets in 1955 while its first public appearance was at the 1956 New York Auto Show. By the summer that followed, 100 dealers had already signed up to sell Volvos and Volvo auto parts in the U.S..

A small albeit steady distribution of Volvo cars began in Canada in 1957. It later developed into a full-fledged operation after a year. 1956 also saw the introduction of the iconic Volvo Amazon, a four door family sedan that captured the tastes of the North American market quite well. It was also during the 1960s that Volvo sought insights from orthopedic professionals in designing the seats of the Amazon, ultimately proposing the notion of seating comfort being vital to driving performance and safety.

Volvo Amazon sales skyrocketed beyond 665, 000, establishing the Volvo brand name alongside other car brands already known for the enduring quality of their makes and models.

Countless Volvo makes, the Volvo P1800—touted as the Volvo with the best looks—with the Volvo 240 of 1974, the latter recognized not only for the boxy look it carried but for the safety features it carried that gave Volvo a stronger presence in the international scene. The U.S. Department even purchased 24 Volvo 240 sedans and corresponding Volvo 240 parts in order to promote the implementation of safety standards to a wider audience.

In 1990, the Volvo 850 would come along to offer the world with a car that had a five-cylinder engine that was transversely mounted, the Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) along with self adjusting belt reels for the front seats and a Delta-link Volvo rear suspension. The Volvo 850 and its Volvo 850 parts, basically sprang into the market with a load of designing firsts.

Meanwhile, the Volvo S80 and Volvo S80 parts in 1998 did a lot to alter the public perception of Volvo, to give it some exciting juice. It was a successful departure from the boxy look that by now had turned a bit stale for consumers and had won a vote from an Italian motoring magazine for “The Most Beautiful Car in the World.” The present day S80 now combines sleek looks with a heap of safety features.

After such triumphs in the fields of sedan production, Volvo tried its hand at the SUV market with the Volvo XC90 and its Volvo XC90 parts, a model with the muscle power and skill with that ever present bag of safety measures that makes it distinctly Volvo.

Indeed, with the degree of commitment that Volvo shows in the company’s continued production of well built cars made for safety, Volvo proves that a great car is first and foremost a sound one. Then as now.
