The division of Volvo Cars in North America recently declared that it is increasing its benevolent contribution to the top three who will be chosen as the 6th Annual Volvo for Life Awards heroes.
Online nominations for the grandest celebration of modern-day heroes all over the nation are now being accepted at VolvoForLifeAwards.com. The auto company will end the nomination process after October 15.
According to a report from autospectator.com, this search for modern-day heroes is divided into three major categories: Quality of Life, Environment, and Safety. The main winner in each category will receive 100,000 dollars each. Those who will be awarded as runner-ups will each obtain 25,000 dollar worth of charitable donation. In addition to this, an overall winning hero will be selected as “America’s Greatest Hometown Hero” who will have the life-long privilege of receiving every three years a brand new Volvo automobile.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Volvo seeks to encourage citizens to do their part in improving the condition of society by extending financial support to them. President and Chef Executive Officer for Volvo Cars of North America Anne Belec said in a statement from…., “Our awards program recognizes and rewards people already doing amazing things in their communities, often with very little help or resources. We’re thrilled to be able to do our part through the Volvo for life Awards to bring funding and awareness to their causes. By increasing our contributions this year, we hope to continue to see our heroes’ dreams fulfilled.”
