Supercar Noble M15 is Turbocharged by Volvo’s V8
Tuesday, November 6th, 2007
Volvo’s trademark excellence is reflected on the newest supercar on the road by implanting its twin-turbo V8 powerplant. Thanks to the Swedish makers of the Volvo auto parts, the new Noble M15 will now kick an impressive 650 hp, and reach 60 km in just three seconds. This next-generation supercar is the latest buzz in the auto industry, and Volvo became the hero behind this car’s road to success. This is one of the many moves that the company is yet to take to expand their carmaking empire.
The Volvo XC90 is also sporting the same 4.4L powerplant, and having this engine placed in a different engine bay gave it a whole new meaning. While the supercar may not be bearing any other Volvo XC90 parts, it is still a superior model in its fleet of supercars—just like what the XC90 is to its own arena of SUVs. This new fusion by Volvo and the Britain-established carmaker Noble created a really impressive car. Will this signal the beginning of a new breed? Not yet, because Ford has been the supplier of previous Noble’s powerplants. Since Volvo has become the Swedish arm of Ford, this fusion is just likely. But one can only say that this is the right mix, because the M15 is really cut for the track.
With its sleek, stylish body contours, the new M15 only weighs a little over 1,100 kg. Its chassis was made 30% more rigid than that of the M12’s, making it possible to feel only the road with all the power that the car can rev. Interested takers of this hot supercar can start withdrawing 150,000 Euros from their banks now.
